• This writing is intoxicating.
  • I’m guessing The Land of Trees is Amrita’s present-day Land.
  • I will never ever ever understand how people are fine with polygamy. I don’t understand it at all.
  • Amrita and Arjun are so precious together. These romances are always so sad at the beginning.
  • I see now. They are the trees and Sikander is the world.
  • Imagine having lavender eyes. That’s so peculiar.
  • This is why politics is awful. This is why no one wants to be royalty. Yesh. You’re forced to take a slave just to avoid offending some pompous dignitary bastard.
  • Nooo, why do oracle’s always have to go around preaching death? Yes, death comes to us all thank you please leave me alone.
  • I CANT STAND VILLAINS WHO TRIUMPH THIS ISN’T HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE
  • Noooooo Arjun nooo, he was so pure. He’s coming back. I’m sure of it. I’m sure he’s coming back.
  • Wait, so they didn’t even use the dagger to open the door at the end of the tunnel?
  • All signs point to Arjun coming back, this happens in books all the time.
  • You have to admit to a little far-fetched, finding the Library of All Things but at the same time after that door melded away I can see why Thala is angry.
  • Who is this Varun and is this going to be a love triangle bc I’ve already committed to Arjun.
  • Also don’t make this a cheating book please and thank you in advance.
  • Oh chute, okay. So either Arjun or Varun is a vetala. (155-maybe you have)
  • HOLY CRAP OR VARUN IS THE LIBRARY GUY. What do we really know about him? And he found her. Not the other way around.
  • Wait, so I’m pretty sure Amrita was Maya in her previous life but who is the immortal Vetala. Is it Arjun? But more likely it’s Varun because Arjun grew up with her, which is also why she felt jealous, which means she’ll have a falling out with Arjun; WHAT KIND OF CONFLICT WILL HE CAUSE???
  • Also, this book is expertly planned. The reader has enough info to guess, but not enough to know the answer for sure. Total perfection.
  • YES, I knew she was actually Maya!!
  • This book is so peculiar there are so many mysteries and I don’t see how any will be solved.
  • Although the gradual acceptance of Amrita’s identity was executed quite well.
  • The note is fake I wonder if Arjun did help Sikrander because of the threat against his family, but Sikrander caught him writing this note and then made him say other stuff?
  • I knew it. I was pretty sure Varun was the library keeper and Maya’s lost loved one, I was surprised he was actually the bird.
  • Also, just everything. This book is great. And so fun, and magical and whimsical. Just enjoy it for what it is.
  • 7/10—The ending was very underwhelming, but I also kind of really liked it. My main thing is I felt like there wasn’t closure, so maybe it’ll end up as a duology or trilogy? Fingers crossed!!
    • I loved how everything went down, she literally sacrificed everything to keep the world safe. Finally a rational, reasonable main character. Her fate was to choose her own destiny.
    • Some of the stuff seemed a little wrapped up too nicely, like stuff with Thala. Someone mentioned how their relationship was a little idealistic and I’d have to agree with that to some degree. They didn’t really exude many PTSD symptoms which you would expect from what they’ve both been through.
    • On the other hand, I really appreciate this story at this time in part because Amrita’s world is crumbling just like ours sometimes feels like, yet she finds a way to make a difference.
    • Just trust me, you want to read this book and honestly not enough people have read it thank you and goodnight.
