• YES STEVEN UNIVERSE MOLLY IS OFFICIALLY MY NEW FAVORITE CHARACTER. STEVEN UNIVERSE IS LIFE.
  • Pretend to know someone… does that actually happen IRL? I doubt I could pull it off.  I’ve also never been the person to make the “first move” unless I actually recognized where the person was and had a conversation topic already.
  • UH, people who say adopted kids aren’t their “real family” stay in the trash where you belong #sorrynotsorry
  • Oh my blog, Molly is flipping hilarious! “Roll their babies up like blunts using hemp blunts”?? LOL
  • Poor, Reid, he’s crushing hard already and she comes back with flirty jokes about Queen Elizabeth? MOLLY CAN YOU NOT SEE YOU’RE KILLING HIM?
  • I love how nuts Cassie is especially about telling off actual middle school boys about how sexist and jerkish they are.
  • I’m LOVING Cassie’s take-down feminist attitude. She’s a flipping force of nature.
  • #27 on Molly’s crush list is definitely the winner. I want to carry a cat around all day in my sweater.
  • PSA: You can be a feminist and care about love and kissing and significant others. There’s no hard and fast rule. All you have to care about is respect and gender equality.
  • Ruined music? SKATER BOI IS A LEGEND HOW DARE YOU.
  • He’s texting her at 7 in the morning? If someone woke me up at 7 in the morning and wanted to know if I wanted help making cookie dough I would murder them and swoon. In that order.
  • Um, yes, Manny assumed most people are the worst on the planet.
  • It’s too late to ask if inviting someone is OK AFTER you invite the person, that’s just common sense 101.
  • Cassie is 100% projecting her feelings for Mina onto Molly. Please kindly step away from the overhead projector.
  • OK, I know Cassie is Molly’s twin and I’m supposed to like her or something but she’s really flipping annoying now. Like all her conversations revolve around Mina or Molly’s love life and not in a nice way. In a “I’m desperate for you to occupied so I can hang out with my own SO” way. Her tantrum and comment about the mason jars? OK I’m done.
  • HA, this is kind of fun to read about, but I can’t imagine anything being less comfortable than having two people compete for your attention. She’s LITERALLY sandwiched between Will and Reid and has nowhere to run to at this co-ed sleepover.
    • Also why is Max there?
  • Awww, jealous teenagers will act jealously. Poor Molly, she’s reading way too into Reid and Olivia. $50 says Reid is actually just asking Olivia about Molly.
  • OK, well Reid is being a little too blatant. Like they already kissed and everything so like can you think about your actions a little bit?
  • 7/10—I just really LOVED this book. All the characters were really relatable, except for Cassie at some points. Honestly I just have a serious vendetta against her. My husband is a twin, so reading this book was very similar to watching my husband and brother-in-law interact. There were A LOT of the same kinds of things (saying the same thing, thinking the same things etc). I liked all the side characters a lot, especially Mina and also I wish we got to see more of their moms because they were really flipping cool. Like they must have majored in parenting goals. Notable ups that I didn’t know where to put in the review:
    • On page pansexual rep.
    • On page asexual rep.
    • I literally had so many of the same thoughts Molly had in relation to self-confidence and wondering if people actually like me or if they just hang out with me because if they invite my husband they have to invite me too.
    • There was just a lot of honestly in this book and a lot of fluidity, which I loved and appreciated.
