• Lara Jean is the sister we all are whereas Margot is the sister we all want to be.
  • Lara Jean is a lot like us all, we want to be the good person, but our emotions often get in the way. Also I feel like Lara Jean is relatable in the way Cath from Fangirl is. The voice is very similar and I’ve enjoyed reading it.
  • I’m extremely curious who sends the letters. I predict Chris or Kitty.
  • I really thought someone deliberately sent the letters, but maybe it’s really just her dad on accident or some lady at a thrift store who thought the letters were supposed to be sent and were forgotten.
  • Lara Jean is so REAL. I see a lot of myself in her when I was in high school. I mean I guess the book wouldn’t be as interesting if she didn’t panic and instead calmly explained to Josh the letter is from ages ago.
  • Peter gets 105/100 on the douchebag scale.
  • OMGOSH SHE DID NOT JUST “JUMP INTO PETER’S ARMS” IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALL WITH EVERYONE WATCHING AND I CAN PICTURE THE SCENE IN MY HEAD AND I’M INCREDIBLY EMBARRASSED FOR ALL PARTIES AND THE HEAVENS WHO WITNESSED THIS.
  • OK, but sometimes I find myself liking Peter now. I think he’s just highly susceptible to peer pressure/societies expectations. What is this?
  • I’m a little sad because I don’t even feel like I can root for Josh properly because of Margot, but I definitely favor him over Peter.
  • Ah high school, wanting to be liked, and trying to act like you don’t care if you’re liked, also you don’t actually know what you want etc. etc.
  • Of course Peter doesn’t show up for the study session.
  • Lara Jean and Peter should probably just stop this fake dating before Lara Jean actually does start liking him because based on their fight in the school hallway she already does.
  • I feel for Margot. I really do. I was pretty sure she actually really missed her family and of course when she returns home it’s probably felt like her family didn’t even need her and she really does need to be needed. She’s always been the mom figure, and I think the hardest thing to realize is that you aren’t needed anymore and you feel like you don’t have a place.
  • Also, Margot is pretty bossy.
  • Wow, I mean somehow Peter actually likes Lara Jean and everything can work out??
  • It actually is pretty believable Peter would tell his friends they had sex. But seriously it was obviously GEN who did it all.
  • I actually do feel a little bad for Peter in this particular kitchen scene.
  • OMGOSH HOW DID EVERYTHING GO SO SOUTH. I love how sisterly and family this book. Like in the end it’s a book about trying to find your place with your family and sometimes it feels like you don’t know if you belong even though you always do in one way or another.
  • Like Josh is blaming everyone
  • I see you Margot, trying to pull off telling your dad like it was “for Lara Jeans own good.” Nice try.
  • Well I can’t say I’m satisfied with the ending, mostly just because I feel like the conclusion isn’t complete. I think I will read the next book, although I’m not in 4th gear headed for the library right now. Also someone also probably checked it out from my library.
  • 6/10, just a plain enjoyable read! I love the characters and Lara Jean is the epitome of a 16-year-old younger sister. She’s adorable.
